Come along to Hub Nights at the Café Project (on Jesus Lane) every Wednesday during term-time, from 7pm till late! The evening starts with a short event, such as a film screening, organised by a different member group each week. This provides a regular focus for people interested in learning more about different social issues, from climate change to human rights to international development. Afterwards, the Café remains open so discussion can continue informally over tea, coffee and cake.
This will be the Hub's main social event of term. We're hoping to have it at Clare Cellars or La Raza. It will be a chance for all the Hub's member groups to come together with interested students for a relaxed evening. Prior to the main social event we also might organise committee swaps for our members groups at different restaurants thoughout Cambridge.
You might find love, or you might just have a good laugh, but either way, blind date is always great fun. Fill out a form with some details about you and your ideal date and then get matched up with someone else in the university for an exciting blind date. Bribery of you RAG rep is encouraged (with all the bribes going to charity of course) so if there's someone particular you've got your eye on or you want someone from a college with a particularly good ball we can arrange it (with enough incentive ;) ). On top of that your blind date form entitles you to discounts in various Cambridge establishments so you can be sure of a good night out one way or another.
Come and drink a pint of your favourite real ale, safe in the knowledge that the proceeds will support local voluntary groups through Cambridge Council for Voluntary Services.
